Author Stephen King mocks congressman Steve King after primary loss

He’s king of the Kings.

Famous horror novelist Stephen King mocked the controversial conservative Iowa congressman who shares his name — saying he’s the stronger King — after the pol was voted out of the House Wednesday.

“Iowa Steve King lost. I am the last Steve King standing. (Takes a bow),” the writer tweeted.

The legendary author of “It” and “The Stand” was weighing in on news that the nine-term Republican — who has been shunned for his history of racist remarks — lost his bid for renomination.

At a town hall in May, the congressman argued Western culture was superior to others, saying, “if we presume that every culture is equal and has an equal amount to contribute to our civilization, then we’re devaluing the contributions of the people that laid the foundation for America and that’s our Founding Fathers.”

In January, he also questioned why the term “white supremacist” was racist in an interview with the New York Times. His 17-year Congressional career was also defined by his strong anti-immigration stance.

On Wednesday, some fans of the novelist took to Twitter to celebrate that the congressman’s loss.

“The comparison is obvious: one man was the author of an unmitigated horror show. The other was novelist Stephen King,” one observer quipped.

Another added, “You’re the better Steve King standing.”
